Douglass bubble trap sight glasses allow users to observe the process at hand to monitor abnormal colors or densities in the fluid.

Due to their design, these sight glasses are used to remove bubbles that naturally form in processes such as distillation, evaporation, and various chemical reactions.

The most common sizes they are manufactured in include three sanitary CLAMP connections: one at the top, which functions as a drain and vent for gases, and two at the bottom. The central connection supplies fluid to the system, while the lateral one serves as the fluid drain.

This type of sight glass is commonly used in distilleries and chemical processes where fluid mixing generates unwanted gases in the system.
