Tempered Borosilicate Level Sight Glasses DIN7081 - Reflex
Made of borosilicate glass, Reflex Gauge Glass is used in numerous applications where both chemical resistance and low thermal expansion coefficient are required. Due to the fact that the glass has reflection prisms, the light spectrum is reflected in such a way that where there is liquid it is completely opaque and where there is no liquid it is bright. These are mainly used in the petrochemical industry, refineries, and general applications.
OUR WARRANTY
100% Satisfaction Guarantee
Douglass warrants merchandise against defective workmanship and materials that become apparent within a period of 12 months from the date of receipt of invoice by the purchaser (hereinafter referred to as the warranty period). All liabilities under the warranty provisions shall expire when the warranty period has expired. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.
SHIPPING AND PACKAGING
At Douglass, we use a unique and patented packaging method that minimizes the risk of glass damage during shipping. This system ensures your products arrive in perfect condition, just as we would like to receive them ourselves.
We understand that not all glass is the same, so we tailor our packaging techniques based on the type and quantity of products you order. This ensures maximum protection for every shipment.
Reflex level gauge glasses, made out of borosilicate, are a critical tool in various industrial applications, offering a simple yet effective method to visually monitor the liquid level within tanks and vessels. These devices utilize a series of prisms embedded in the glass that reflect light differently depending on whether they are in contact with a liquid or gas. When the liquid level is present, the prisms in contact with the liquid allow light to pass through, making the liquid level appear dark against a silvery background. Conversely, in areas where no liquid is present, the prisms reflect light, making these sections appear bright. This clear visual contrast provides an immediate and accurate indication of the fluid level, facilitating safe and efficient process management in industries such as chemical manufacturing, petroleum refining, and power generation, where precise level measurement is crucial for operational safety and efficiency.

Reflex gauge glass — High reflection
Because the glass has reflection prisms, the light spectrum is reflected in such a way that, where there is liquid, the glass color turns opaque and where there is no liquid, it is bright. These are mainly used in the petrochemical industry, oil industry, and general use applications.
Manufactured in accordance with DIN 7081
In order to achieve standardization of this type of sight glass across industries, the German regulatory institute DIN established parameters for manufacture. Among the main characteristics of this regulation are dimensional parameters, pressure resistance, chemical composition, characteristics of the reflector prisms, tolerance parameters regarding parallelism, and the necessary acceptance tests.
